My Lavender Shoes
I was told a dream of covetousness
She was a mess but I accepted her for what she was
As she did me
Hushhhhhhhh shhhhhhhh..... her name was lee
She always said she wish that she could be me
I paid it no mind
Quit frankly I never took it seriously
We became quit close
Shared secrets and dreams of what we aspired to be
I was a singer and poet
She was a mc and learning to sing
She was a few years younger than me
She introduced me to the worlds deepest conspiracies and for a while I believed it
My mother never liked her and neither did my son
But she was troubled still I remained her friend.
She told me of a dream where I walked upon this beach
Where royalty was my attire
She said at some point in the sun of the day that I walked away
leaving my lavender shoes
Now, I am sure that's what she wanted me to believe
But a little birdy tells me other wise
See, I admit that I've been known to boast at my victories
This time though I am not letting this love go
She can have the old love and that's all she'll ever have
Him and their baby
I admit also that I was manipulated, spiritually infiltrated and almost persuaded that it was all my fault
No, I refuse to take the blame for someone else's mishaps and satan's traps
The real story is a mix of a whole lot of stories
Based on how my lover's and friends decided to teach me a few lessons
In the midst though we all learned some things
The truth hurts and no one wants to be exposed, not even me
But this story is no reason for me to walk away from what I am supposed to do
From who God created me to be
This Beach my hiding place;
Where I will never walk alone;
I call it my home away from home.
This beach where I am not the only Queen;
We are a team of
I'm just The Peace Queen.
Draped in lavender, purple maybe even gold
Those are the colors I have always loved.
I always will
Though I was born in the month of Royal Blue
It looks lavishly on me trimmed in gold
Every Queen on this Beach stands for something grand and unique
We each hold our own thrown
No, not one of us are stepping out of our shoes when they've cost us so;
Many stories to tell of the Queens of The Hidden Beach Family
Much wisdom and verbal delight to rest upon the ears of those who love to listen
Our Kings,
Sweet majesties;
True rulers of this Hidden dynasty.
Men of every element and walk of life;
They reign
Blowing winds of knowledge;
Maintaining dominion over all.
Flames for fire;
Water to cool off
We are their earth.
If I live here then I am supposed to be here
Not to ever walk off without my lavender shoes
This Beach is God's gift how dare you think that I will leave them for you to take.
